Issue Position: Political Reform

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2012

We must end political corruption and corporate domination in Washington DC. The voters are angry at both political parties and they have every right to be. I will not take one penny of corporate PAC money and I will introduce a bill to end corporate spending on elections. I will cut off corporations from receiving any government funds if they spend any money on elections.
In this election, the voters of East King and Pierce counties have shown they will support the candidate with the best ideas, not merely the candidate with the most money. They want a candidate who will represent the middle class and small businesses.

The voters of East King and Pierce Counties are feed up with corporate corruption in Washington DC. We will no longer allow greedy corporate executives to take our money to ship jobs overseas, take our homes and run our economy into the ditch.

The Great Recession was not caused by a housing bubble. It was caused by rampant corporate greed and political corruption. There can be no economic recovery until there is political reform. I will restore honesty and integrity in Washington DC so we can save our homes, get jobs for every person who wants one and restore our economy, our education system and our nation.
